Terms & Conditions
1. Project Scope
This service includes the professional design of a custom book cover for eBook and/or paperback formats.
The goal is to create a visually compelling, genre-appropriate, and market-ready cover that enhances the book’s visibility and professionalism while meeting publishing platform specifications (e.g., Amazon KDP, IngramSpark).
2. Deliverables
The service includes:
• One (1) custom cover design for eBook and paperback formats.
• One (1) graphic revision after the initial delivery.
• Final files provided in high-resolution formats suitable for both print and digital publication (PDF, PNG, JPEG).
• Delivery within seven (7) business days from project confirmation and receipt of all required materials.
Additional revisions or redesigns beyond the included one (1) revision round will incur extra fees, depending on scope and complexity.
3. Delivery Time
The estimated delivery time is 7 business days from the moment all required materials are received and project confirmation is issued.
Delivery times may vary depending on the project’s complexity, requested formats, or client feedback.
Any delay or variation will be communicated and agreed upon in advance.
4. Client Requirements
To begin the design process, the client must provide the following materials in the accepted formats (Word, PDF, JPEG, PNG, or text):
• Book Title and Author Name – exactly as they should appear on the cover.
• Subtitle – if applicable.
• Short Book Synopsis – a brief description of the book’s content and theme.
• Number of Pages – necessary for spine width calculation and layout.
• Relevant Imagery or Graphics – images, illustrations, or visual references aligned with the book’s tone and genre (JPEG, PNG, or link).
• Typography Preferences – fonts, colors, or stylistic examples you prefer (PDF, Word, or link).
• Book Format(s) – specify eBook, Paperback, or both.
• Short Author Bio – optional, for back cover inclusion.
• Social Media Links – optional, for promotional or back cover purposes.
• QR Code to Marketplace – if available (PNG or JPEG).
• QR Code to Author Page – optional (PNG or JPEG).
• ISBN Status – indicate whether you already have an ISBN or need assistance obtaining one.
• Series or Bundle Information – specify if the book is part of a collection or ongoing series.
All materials must be provided in the requested formats before project initiation.
5. Revisions
One (1) revision round is included and must be requested within five (5) business days of the initial delivery.
Revisions cover minor adjustments (e.g., color balance, font changes, alignment corrections).
Major redesigns, layout overhauls, or new concepts will be treated as a separate project and billed accordingly.
6. Ownership and Copyright
Upon full payment, the client retains complete ownership and rights to the final cover design.
Charlie Creative Lab reserves the right to include the design in its portfolio for promotional purposes unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing.
All source files and design assets remain property of Charlie Creative Lab unless otherwise agreed.
7. Confidentiality
All client-provided materials, including manuscripts, images, and communications, will be treated with strict confidentiality.
No content will be shared, published, or disclosed to third parties without written consent.
8. Payment Terms
Payment must be made in accordance with the issued invoice.
The design process will begin only after receipt of payment confirmation or official proof of payment.
Late or incomplete payments may delay project initiation and delivery timelines.
